Armed Robbery Alert - Toorak,VIC

Police are investigating an armed robbery at a jewellery store on Toorak Road, Toorak that occurred on Saturday, 14 January at 1:00pm.

It is believed that four men of African appearance entered the store, one in possession of a firearm.

During the robbery a male member of staff was struck on the head with the firearm and is currently being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The males then fled in a vehicle driven by a fifth man which resulted in a police pursuit in South Yarra and was terminated in Richmond.

 


It is unsure if this robbery is linked to other incidents at this stage.

This robbery is the latest in a series of violent robberies across Melbourne where jewellery stores have allegedly been targeted by armed thieves.
