JAA announces the 2017 JAA Australasian Jewellery Awards presentation evening

4 July 2017

The Jewellers Association of Australia (JAA) is pleased to announce that it will present a live event as part of its 2017 JAA Australasian Jewellery Awards program. The presentation evening will be held in conjunction with the Showcase Dinner and Masquerade ball on 25 August to maximise industry attendance.

The event will take place at the luxurious Sheraton on the Park hotel, Sydney where all facets of the industry will come together for a night of celebration and entertainment.

The JAA wishes to reassure the industry that this industry-run awards program will continue to deliver quality entrants, vast exposure for our finalists and winners.  Unlike other award programs where entry is based only on drawn concept designs or photographs, the JAA event will showcase finished unique jewellery pieces and attendees will be able to view the actual jewellery design and manufacturing skills of all entrants as well as enjoying an evening of celebration.

The JAA has become aware of a communication that was recently sent out to the industry suggesting that the 2017 JAA Jewellery Awards may have been cancelled. The content of the communication is untrue and unfounded. The JAA reiterates that official Association communications and statements will be sent out from the JAA Head Office and chosen media partners only.

The Association thanks the industry for their support of the longest running industry Awards program in Australia and New Zealand. Any questions or queries regarding the event can be forwarded to Emma at marketing@jaa.com.au. The deadline for entry into the 2017 JAA Jewellery Awards program is 18 July.
