We are a proud Australian-owned, family-run wholesale business seeking a Showroom Assistant. The ideal candidate is someone who is not only enthusiastic and well-organised but also possesses a friendly demeanor. If you have a passion for jewellery, excellent communication skills, basic computer proficiency, and a background in customer service, we want to hear from you!

Position Details:

  • Part-Time Role
  • Flexible hours (9 am - 3 pm, 3-4 days a week)
  • Competitive salary

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service and product knowledge
  • Manage daily transactions, ensuring exceptional customer service and maximizing sales
  • Prepare and pack products for shipping
  • Handle phone inquiries professionally
  • Manage banking and posting activities

Skills and Experience:
  • 5+ years in the Jewellery Industry (wholesale Jewellery industry experience is a bonus)
  • Thorough knowledge of wholesale gold
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with MYOB
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail

For the last 9 years Temple has been known for their ethically crafted 925 sterling silver jewellery, 18K gold vermeil and more recently their Solid Gold Jewellery hand-crafted by artisans in their Byron Bay studio. Their distinct modern ancient design philosophy transcends trends and has earned Temple of the Sun fans across the globe. 

Our team of 20 is creative, innovative and dedicated, working hard to achieve our shared goals in a supportive environment with a culture that values work-life balance. This role is full-time working with us in our beautiful 600 sqm all-in-one HQ / Showroom and Studio in Byron Bay.

The Role
We are offering a wonderful opportunity for a skilled and seasoned Artisan to join and lead our growing team during an exciting growth phase of Temple. As Head Jeweller, you will be responsible for advising on design, and overseeing the creation and production of our exquisite jewellery pieces. Your exceptional craftsmanship, attention to detail, and innovative approach will be instrumental in maintaining our brand's reputation for excellence. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the design team to bring their concepts to life and create stunning pieces.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to our team of jewellers to ensure the highest level of craftsmanship and quality.
  • Oversee the production team to ensure timely and high-quality work.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and techniques to enhance the jewellery-making process.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth.

You will have:

  • Extensive experience in all setting techniques, including evaluating space requirements for pave or beadwork, setting centre stones and engagement rings and providing stone layouts in model or castings
  • A demonstrated expertise in creating intricate and high-quality jewellery pieces through a strong portfolio
  • Experience with production jewellery and jewellery manufacturing.
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • An in-depth knowledge of jewellery-making techniques, materials, and tools
  • Strong attention to detail and a meticulous approach to craftsmanship
  • A passion for jewellery and a commitment to creating exceptional pieces
  • Expertise in working with precious metals, diamonds, and coloured stones
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and collaborating with staff members
  • Organizational and interpersonal skills to build partnerships within the company
  • The flexibility and adaptability to accommodate changing priorities and responsibilities
  • Experience in performing and troubleshooting setting repairs, showcasing problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in using jewellery design and production software (is a plus)

Sales Assistant - Affection Diamonds

Affection Pty Ltd is right in the Sydney CBD. We are Australian owned, family run wholesale business. We are searching for Sales Assistant who is enthusiastic, well-organised and has a friendly manner. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily transactions, ensuring the smooth operation of our office, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of jewellery, good communication skills, basic computer skills, and some experience in customer service or retail sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily transactions, including customer service and sales
  • Calling clients and update database
  • Prepare and pack products for posting
  • Answering phones in a professional manner
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and emails
  • Perform general clerical work as required
  • Banking, posting and visiting clients
  • Perform other duties outlined by the manager

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of jewellery is recommended, but not compulsory
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience in retail or online sales and great people skills
  • Some knowledge of the process of listing, selling, and shipping products
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
