JAA announces postponement of 2016 JAA Australasian Jewellery Awards
29 February 2016: The Jewellers Association of Australia (JAA) today announces the postponement of the 2016 JAA Australasian Jewellery Awards with the intention to now hold the program in 2017.
"It is with much regret that we make this decision, however, the success of the event is largely reliant on sponsorship and without all required funding being secured at the end of February, the Association is unable to run the program without detriment.” said Amanda Hunter, JAA Executive Director.
"Given we are talking to a number of interested applicants and sponsors, we are hopeful that we will be able to hold the program in 2017 and will continue to work on that goal now with a longer lead time." said Hunter.
Previously held every two years the Jewellers Association of Australia (JAA) provides the best emerging and experienced jewellery designers in Australia and New Zealand the opportunity to be recognised and celebrated through its prestigious awards program, the JAA Australasian Jewellery Awards.
The Awards provides jewellers showcasing their craftsmanship, individuality and innovation with a platform to establish or enhance their career in the industry.
"We have got some new ideas on improving the program and have recently added some great additional exposure opportunities and are now tailoring sponsorship packages to meet the industries changing needs and we would encourage anyone who wishes to support the great talent in our industry to please contact the JAA via phone on 02 9262 2862 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to obtain a sponsorship proposal or discuss ways to be involved." remarked Hunter.
