Apprenticeships
If you would like more information about what an apprenticeship is and what's involved, take a look at the following websites:
www.australianapprenticeships.gov.au
www.careeradviceaustralia.gov.au
We suggest you try the following to find an apprenticeship:
- Approach employers at companies you would like to work for. Visit the workplace and speak with the employer. They may offer you a trial and remember to leave a copy of your resume. Show your passion - take some drawings to show your design potential or pieces you have made.
- Contact the TAFE campus which runs the course that is done in conjunction with the jewellery apprenticeship. Often employers looking for an apprentice will contact the TAFE and ask for an advertisement to be put up on the notice board.
- You may also wish to place an advertisement on our website under Individual Advertisments, which gives you exposure to companies looking at taking on an apprentice.
- Check our site regularly for new job vacancies placed by members - click here
