Ian Hadassin, Chief Executive Officer


Ian has had extensive experience in the jewellery industry, both in manufacturing and retailing. He is a previous JAA Board and NSW Chairman and Board member. Originally trained in Civil Engineering, Ian also has a Master of Business Administration. Ian is responsible to the Board for implementing the strategic vision and plan.



Megan Young, Marketing and Membership Executive


Megan has worked in the jewellery industry since completing her HSC and completed jewellery making courses whilst at high school. She went on to complete an Advanced Diploma in Jewellery and Object Design and has also completed a Certificate III in Jewellery Manufacture.

Megan co-ordinates events run by the JAA and manages entries of the bi annual JAA Australian Jewellery Awards, administers the website and all other marketing matters. She handles the administrative requirements of the JAA Board meetings and is responsible for all membership matters.

Megan uses her years of jewellery experience, both retail and trade, to handle the many trade and consumer enquiries and any disputes between the public and the JAA members.



Aphrodite Kant, PR and Marketing Executive


Aphrodite is an entrepreneur with a successful sales and marketing career spanning more than 15 years. Aphrodite successfully established her own retail venture and managed the entire business lifecycle of a bespoke jewellery business creating a loyal clientele, strategic business relationships, marketing strategies and back office processes.

Aphrodite has a Business Degree with a Marketing Major and is responsible for the public relations and marketing of the JAA and its members, including the event management of the prestigious bi annual JAA Australian Jewellery Awards. She is recognised as a dynamic individual that is well travelled, networked, articulate and persuasive.
